God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of its clients. All of the agency’s services are provided free of charge.
About the Role
The primary responsibility of the Part-Time Accountant is to manage day-to-day finance. As a member of our Finance team, you will organize, analyze, and verify our various financial transactions and reports to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will also perform monthly tasks to ensure the financial close is done accurately and timely. This is a detail-oriented position that is vital to our daily operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to work flexible hours while contributing to a professional finance team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and verify financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure all financial reporting is suitably compliant to local and federal regulations.
- Perform monthly reconciliations.
- Assist with multiple tasks supporting all finance staff.

In addition, the right candidate meets the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field
- Prior experience in an accounting role, especially in a non-profit environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Extremely proficiency with NetSuite
- Excellent communication
- Demonstrates superior attention to detail.
- Operates effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Demonstrates superior time management skills with the ability to work effectively under, and consistently meet, deadlines, and adapt priorities in a fast-paced environment.
