As a Master Automotive Technician, you are the highest-level technical expert in the shop. This is a leadership-by-example role for a highly skilled, diagnostics-driven professional capable of solving complex mechanical and electrical issues across multiple vehicle platforms.
You will be responsible for advanced diagnostics, major engine and driveline repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and mentoring junior technicians. Master Technicians are critical to shop productivity, comeback prevention, and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform advanced diagnostics on complex engine, electrical, and drivability concerns
- Diagnose CAN network, module communication, and advanced electrical system faults
- Perform major engine repairs including timing chains, head gaskets, internal engine work, and engine replacements
- Diagnose and repair transmission and driveline systems (R&R experience preferred)
- Perform advanced steering, suspension, brake, and alignment diagnostics
- Troubleshoot intermittent and hard-to-diagnose vehicle issues
- Utilize scan tools, lab scopes, and other advanced diagnostic equipment
- Accurately document diagnostic steps and repair recommendations
- Maintain high efficiency and productivity standards while ensuring repair accuracy
- Reduce comebacks through precise diagnostics and quality control
- Mentor and support B- and C-level technicians with troubleshooting and repair guidance
- Collaborate with Service Advisors to clearly explain complex repair needs
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify safety and performance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
What You'll Bring with You:
- 5 years of advanced automotive repair experience
- Proven diagnostic expertise across domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
- Strong electrical diagnostic skills (wiring diagrams, voltage drop testing, network diagnostics)
- ASE Master Certification strongly preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with advanced diagnostic software and OEM-level scan tools
- Ability to independently diagnose and complete complex repairs without supervision
- Strong understanding of engine management, fuel systems, ignition systems, emissions systems, and HVAC diagnostics
- High level of productivity with minimal comebacks
- Professional-grade tool set required
- Valid driver’s license preferred
