Front of House Team Member

Goat Head is a locally owned and family operated breakfast and lunch restaurant in downtown Salt Lake City serving scratch-made food, specialty coffee, craft beer, cocktails, and options for both traditional and vegan diets. We're looking for a dependable, friendly Front of House team member who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing exceptional customer service.
Position Details
- Part-time: Approximately 12–21 hours per week (depending on availability)
- Weekend availability is required
- Base Pay: $10.00/hour share of the tip pool
- Our current Front of House team averages approximately $27/hour (hourly wage tips).
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide excellent customer service
- Take food and beverage orders using our POS system
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages
- Run food and beverages to guests
- Bus and clean tables
- Wash dishes and assist with general cleaning
- Check IDs and responsibly serve beer, wine, and cocktails
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean, organized dining room
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the team
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Friendly, dependable, and able to work well with a team
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced restaurant
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred
- Barista experience is a plus, but not required
- Must obtain (or already possess):
- Utah Food Handler Permit
- Utah SIPS & TIPS alcohol certification
