๐ The Role
At GOAT, we staff and support high-stakes gala events for nonprofits. As a GOAT On-Site Lead, youโre the captain of the event crew โ ensuring seamless execution, keeping the energy high, solving problems fast, and protecting what matters most: elevating the guest experience.
๐ What You'll Do
- Act as the lead at events, managing all on-site staff, volunteers, and client communication
- Oversee guest-facing moments: check-in, registration, auctions, paddle raises, and donations
- Troubleshoot live tech issues on platforms like GiveSmart, ClickBid, or Classy Live
- Ensure staff and volunteers stay on track
- Make confident, quick decisions in the face of surprises (no-show staff, platform crashes, etc.)
- Keep fundraising moments clean and accurate: capture bids, paddle raises, and donations
- Lead calmly and professionally
- Wrap up with reporting and notes, escalate red flags to management
๐ What We Are Looking For
- Must have familiarity with mobile bidding platforms (GiveSmart, Classy, ClickBid, etc.)
- Experience managing teams at live events (especially nonprofit or fundraising-focused)
- Extensive experience working in a customer-facing role
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Tech-savvy, easily able to troubleshoot on the fly, train others, and learn new software & platforms
- Exceptionally organized: you do your homework and prep in advance
- A clear communicator who knows how to lead with both kindness and confidence
- Availability nights and weekends
