What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Location Manager position at Goat Buildings?
We are a growing portable building and custom steel structure company expanding with a large location in Lumberton.
Job Description:
· Serves customers by selling portable sheds and custom metal buildings to meet customer needs.
· Greets potential customers, listens to their needs, and steers them toward the shed or metal building that best meets their situation.
· Adjusts the sales presentation by meeting the customer at their level. We encounter people from all walks of life in this business.
· Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques. They are watching us, we need to be aware of, but not focused on, what they are doing.
· Keeps management informed by submitting weekly sales reports, and beginning of month inventory.
· Identify future potential sales opportunities, ie what size/shape/color building are we selling the most
Job Requirements:
· Willingness to use social media extensively. Specifically, Facebook (including Facebook Marketplace), Instagram, and Tiktok.
· Effective communication skills. Listening is more important than speaking. We have several corporate partners that we work with.
· Able to adapt to any situation, no two days are ever the same.
· Fiscally responsible. There will be roughly $450-500K worth of product on the lot at any one time and the salesperson will be responsible for it daily.
· Must be willing to work on Saturday, normal work week is Tuesday through Saturday.
· Sales experience is not required, however having an inquisitive personality and an entrepreneurial spirit is going to be very helpful
· Kindness always wins. We will put people in a building that meets their financial needs, whether they are doing an RTO contract on a $6500 shed, or paying cash for a $3200 building.
· Basic math skills are required.
· Ability to use excel, and web-based applications on a routine basis.
· Willingness to collaborate, our partners are the life blood of our business.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
