Job Title: Research Analyst
Location: West Palm Beach, FL (HQ) / New York, NY
Focused on investing in leading growth stage tech companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Ramp, Databricks, Rippling, Goanna Capital is hiring a high energy research analyst. Role Overview:
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our investment process, conducting extensive primary research through customer conversations that directly inform our investment decisions. You will engage with key decision-makers / leaders and stakeholders across all industries, transforming these insights into actionable research that drives both our investment strategies and provides significant value to our portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Research & Customer Engagement: Conduct extensive customer interviews and market research to develop deep sector expertise and inform investment decision-making across tech AI landscapes.
- Investment Research & Analysis: Synthesize customer insights and market intelligence into comprehensive investment research memos, sector analyses, and strategic reports that directly support our investment evaluation process.
- Portfolio Company Value Creation: Leverage research findings to provide strategic market insights to portfolio companies, including customer introductions, market intelligence, and competitive positioning support.
- Investment Process Support: Contribute to all aspects of the investment process including due diligence, deal evaluation, financial modeling, and post-investment monitoring.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience at a MBB (or top management / strategy) consulting firm, bulge bracket / elite boutique investment bank, or top growth / VC fund.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with C-level executives, management teams, and other stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Pitchbook, and other financial analysis tools.
- Passion for technology and interest in supporting high-growth businesses from an operational perspective.
