Role Description The 2M/MTR Pinpoint Specialist is a full-time, on-site role located in Portsmouth, VA, supporting maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for micro-miniature (2M) and miniature electronic assemblies. This role involves performing detailed fault isolation, component-level diagnostics, and pinpoint testing on circuit cards, cables, and related electronic equipment using specialized test equipment and technical manuals. The specialist will document findings, repairs, and test results in maintenance records and information systems, ensuring compliance with applicable DoD and command-level standards. Daily tasks include coordinating with supervisors and engineering staff on complex issues, recommending repair or replacement actions, and supporting continuous improvement of maintenance processes. The role may also include configuration management and inventory control for repair parts and tools.
Qualifications
- Must have an MTR Technician (MTR) Certification or have held a previous certification and be able to recertify via 2M/MTR inspector.
