This position requires travel approximately 3–5 times per month, as we value in-person collaboration and occasionally visit our clients onsite.
Position Summary
The Certified Professional Biller will play a critical role in managing billing and revenue cycle operations for our dental and healthcare clients. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in dental billing and coding, understands compliance and regulations, and brings a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to every task.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee accounts receivable (A/R) and revenue cycle operations for multiple client accounts
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reporting to internal teams and clients
- Accurately prepare, submit, and track billing claims in accordance with payer and regulatory guidelines
- Apply correct coding using ICD-10, ICD-9, and related billing standards
- Review and verify patient demographics, insurance details, and clinical documentation prior to claim submission
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and manage collections in a professional and compliant manner
- Collaborate closely with providers, office managers, and insurance carriers to resolve billing discrepancies
- Stay current on billing regulations, payer requirements, and industry changes
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and all applicable healthcare laws while handling sensitive information
- Assist with training and onboarding of new team members on billing workflows and systems
- Maintain a positive, solutions-driven, and team-focused attitude at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent certification required
- Proven experience in medical and/or dental billing and coding
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and billing workflows
- Proficiency with medical billing software and EHR systems
- Working knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, and related coding systems
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Clear and professional communication skills with patients, providers, and insurance companies
- Understanding of medical or dental office operations preferred
- Willingness to travel 3–5 times per month
