Battery Repair Specialist — Electric Scooter Division (Daytona, FL)
About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Battery Specialist with hands-on experience working with lithium-ion batteries, particularly in electric scooters or e-mobility devices. You’ll be part of a small, technical team focused on diagnosing, repairing, and reviving a wide range of scooter battery packs.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair lithium-ion battery packs used in electric scooters.
- Replace individual cells and perform cell balancing as needed.
- Resolder and repair wiring or BMS (Battery Management System) connections.
- Jump-start or revive batteries that no longer take a charge.
- Use functional batteries and various chargers to test and bring dead packs back to life.
- Track repair progress and document each battery’s condition and fix applied.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area following proper handling and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with lithium-ion batteries (EV, e-bike, e-scooter, or similar).
- Basic understanding of battery voltage, current, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with soldering, wiring, and BMS troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose issues at the cell or circuit level.
- Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- (Preferred) Experience using multimeters, balance chargers, or jump-starting tools.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience. Contract or part-time positions available.
