Position Overview
GoWork Staffing is hiring an experienced Machine Shop Technician / Manual Machinist in
Irwin, PA. This is a 1st-shift, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with hands-on manual
machining experience who is comfortable working in a manufacturing and machine shop
environment.
Responsibilities
● Set up and operate manual machining equipment
● Perform machining operations according to work instructions, drawings, and
specifications
● Measure and inspect completed parts for accuracy and quality
● Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
● Make machine adjustments as necessary to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
● Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
● Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
● Follow all company quality and safety procedures
● Work closely with production and manufacturing team members to complete jobs
efficiently
Qualifications
● Previous manual machining or machine shop experience required
● Experience operating manual mills, lathes, or similar machining equipment preferred
● Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
● Familiarity with precision measuring instruments
● Understanding of machining tolerances and basic shop math
● Strong attention to detail and quality
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Dependable attendance and willingness to follow established safety procedures
Position Details
Pay: 28. 00–30.00/hour

Status: Temp-to-Hire
