We are seeking a hands-on Data Visualization PowerBI Specialist to deliver end-to-end reporting for leaders across Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Technology. You will design performant data models, craft intuitive dashboards, and automate workflows using the Microsoft Power Platform—translating complex questions into clear visuals and measurable outcomes.
This is an entirely on-site position based in Newport Beach, CA. Currently, we are unable to provide H-1B sponsorship or relocation assistance. We are seeking candidates who are already located within the Orange County and South Los Angeles, CA areas.

Responsibilities:

• Own the BI lifecycle: requirements, data prep/modeling, DAX/visuals, performance tuning, deployment/monitoring.
• Build high-impact dashboards for revenue, fleet health/utilization, station/airport performance, reservations funnel, guest experience, and financial KPIs.
• Model data (star/snowflake), implement RLS, and manage certified datasets in Power BI Service.
• Optimize queries/refresh, manage gateways, and improve report responsiveness.
• Automate with Power Automate; light Power Apps for operational workflows (exceptions, approvals).
• Contribute to standards (style guide, data dictionary) and quality checks.
• Partner with engineering on data contracts/ETL and monitoring.
• Lead UAT; turn feedback into a prioritized backlog and releases.
• Communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

30/60/90 Expectations

• 30 days: ship improvements to an existing exec dashboard; document key data sources.
• 60 days: deliver a net-new dashboard with certified dataset & RLS; improve refresh/runtime by 20–30%.
• 90 days: establish a reusable data model & style guide for a critical domain (e.g., Fleet or Revenue); automate one manual workflow; present insights to ELT.

• 3–5 years in Analytics/BI with deep Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, performance tuning, Service).
• Strong SQL with PostgreSQL (data modeling, window functions, performance) and Microsoft Access (queries, relationships, forms/reports, ODBC links).
• Plus (nice to have): Progress, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL; ETL/ELT (e.g., SSIS/dbt); AWS/Azure databases/services (e.g., Amazon RDS/Redshift, Azure SQL/Managed Instance); Power Apps, Tableau/Python; data governance/security.
• Excellent communication; able to simplify complexity and influence decisions.

Salary : $52 - $74
