What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Director position at GO PR?
GO PR is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Account Director for its GO team! This position requires at least six to eight years experience, leading a portfolio of hospitality, lifestyle and/or design accounts. As the day-to-day client lead, the ideal candidate must have experience overseeing campaign strategy, creative concepts, and provide senior counsel to guide accounts forward along with team mentorship.

A fun, fast paced environment, GO PR works on a hybrid model with two [2] days in office in Flatiron. Current clients include everything from hotels [Freehand Hotels, Walker Hotels, Marram Montauk, Dawn Ranch], to destinations [Visit Faroe Islands and Tourisme Montréal] and luxury expeditions [EYOS] to luxury members club concepts, highly anticipated restaurant openings and the truly dog-first airline and hospitality brand redefining pet travel [BARK Air].
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the account and client lead, providing high-level strategy and counsel
- Oversee the management of client accounts, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality work that meets the client's objectives and expectations
- Oversee the development of creative pitches, campaigns and PR initiatives to support client goals, including brand awareness, media exposure and reputation management
- Oversee the creation and strategy/distribution of press materials such as press releases, media alerts and pitches, ensuring they align with brand messaging
- Build and maintain relationships with high-level journalists and influencers/content creators to enhance press coverage opportunities for clients
- Manage Account Executives and Senior Account Executives, overseeing their workload and professional growth
- Participate in new business meetings and draft new business proposals
- Represent the agency and clients at media events, press interviews and public appearances, fostering positive relationships and representing the brand’s voice
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6-8 years of media relations experience, with a focus on hospitality or lifestyle brands
- Proven track record of leading client accounts and managing teams in an agency setting
- Strong strategic thinking and experience developing and executing integrated campaigns
- Established high-level media relationships and a passion for creative storytelling
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Self-motivated, positive and proactive team player
- Desire to grow within the company
