We are looking for a dependable, safety conscious, Battery Recycling Yard Driver to join our team. This hands on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, staying active and being a part of an important recycling operation.
Job description
Delivery and Pickup Driver Job Duties:
- Non-CDL vehicles, mainly driving stake bed trucks
- Load battery inventory on truck and unload at customer site
- The driver communicates and interacts with customers and co-workers professionally ensuring all services and duties are executed in accordance with preferred work methods and customer service practices
- Performs routine inspections of trucks and supplies to ensure road safety
- Must be able to consistently lift and move heavy batteries that can weigh up to 75 Pounds
- Maintain a safe driving record, obey all applicable traffic laws, and drive in accordance with weather/road conditions
- When not picking or delivering batteries, associate will sort and process automotive, golf and steel case batteries onto pallets at a busy retail and recycling yard as well as perform battery installations
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- Forklift experience is preferred but not a requirement
- Previous recycling, warehouse, or industrial experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday. Hours are from 8:00 am-5:15 pm
