What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Production Coordinator position at Go Local Promotions?
Shop Production Coordinator (Fabrication, Installations & Shop Support)
At Go Local Promotions, we design, build, and install custom displays, trade show booths, retail fixtures, brand environments, and visual installations. Our carpentry shop in Doral supports a wide range of fabrication and installation projects, and we are looking for someone who can help keep the day-to-day operation organized, moving, and on track.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized, resourceful, hands-on Shop Production Coordinator to support our carpentry shop and fabrication team.
- This is not an event producer role, and not a marketing role
- This role is for someone who is sharp, practical, dependable, and ready to be the link between the shop floor and our remote project managers
- This is a 2-month trial period position, with the potential to become a full-time role
- We are looking to build something long-term and permanent
You will help keep the shop organized day to day, support sourcing and pickups, track materials and priorities, and communicate what is needed in real time. You will also jump in wherever needed to help our carpentry and installation team execute.
You will report to our Associate Director of Fabrications and work directly with our Master Carpenter and Field Production Manager.
What You Will Do
- Help organize the day-to-day flow of the carpentry shop and support ongoing fabrication and installation projects
- Track priorities, materials, punch lists, tasks, and daily progress
- Serve as the communication link between the shop team and remote project managers
- Run local errands (sourcing materials, picking up supplies, matching paint/colors, coordinating rentals)
- Order materials and track deliveries to ensure everything arrives on time
- Build and maintain project trackers, schedules, budgets, checklists, and Run of Show (ROS) documents
- Use Google Sheets and Excel to manage quantities, timelines, purchasing, and production flow
- Support trade show booth builds, retail displays, fabrication projects, and installations
- Assist with visual installations, graphics, vinyl application, wrapping, assembly, and general shop support
- Help prep projects for installation and keep materials, tools, and work areas organized
- Travel locally for pickups, sourcing, and site visits
- Travel with the crew when needed and support long days or late nights during installs
- Support budgeting, purchasing, and material tracking with strong attention to detail and math skills
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a fabrication shop, trade show environment, installation company, millwork/carpentry shop, or similar
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities at once
- Resourceful, practical, and solution-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working in the shop, on job sites, and handling pickups/sourcing
- Strong knowledge of Google Sheets and Excel
- Experience creating and managing Run of Show (ROS), trackers, schedules, or production documents
- Strong communication skills (able to coordinate between shop and remote teams)
- Fluent English required; bilingual Spanish strongly preferred
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle
- Comfortable with regular local driving for sourcing and pickups
- Able to lift heavy items and support hands-on work
- Strong with math, quantities, and budgets
- Able to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read technical drawings is a plus
- OSHA certification is a plus (we can help obtain it if needed)
- Experience with carpentry, vinyl, CNC, printing machines, or similar tools is a plus
- Comfortable driving box trucks is a plus
- Strong desire to grow and take on more responsibility
Why This Role Is a Great Opportunity
- Hands-on role at the center of production, logistics, and shop operations
- Opportunity to learn how projects move from concept to fabrication to installation
- Work closely with experienced leaders and skilled craftsmen
- Be a key part of keeping projects organized and executed at a high level
- Ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, staying organized, and supporting a team
Compensation & Benefits
- $30/hour with overtime opportunity
- Health benefits
- 2 weeks PTO
