Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote social, emotional, and academic development for school-aged children
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to communicate progress and address any concerns
- Lead recreational activities such as sports coaching, arts, theater, or other enrichment programs to enhance children's interests and skills
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones to support ongoing assessmentRequirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly desirable
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
