POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee and maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of our two office locations, including the buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a combination of janitorial services, building repairs, and general upkeep to ensure our facilities remain professional, inviting, and fully operational.

Key ResponsibilitiesBuilding Maintenance:
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, and light carpentry.
  • Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, lighting, and other essential building systems.
  • Ensure all fixtures, equipment, and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Identify and resolve minor facility issues; escalate larger problems to management or contractors.
Janitorial Services:
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain cleanliness of all office areas, common spaces, and hallways.
  • Dust and sanitize surfaces such as desks, countertops, and conference rooms.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins; ensure proper waste disposal.
  • Clean and maintain windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
  • Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
Parking Lot & Exterior Upkeep:
  • Maintain cleanliness of parking lots and building exteriors, removing trash, debris, and snow (as applicable).
  • Perform basic landscaping duties, including weeding, sweeping, and ensuring walkways are clear and safe.
Administrative & Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and replenish inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Report supply shortages or significant repair needs to management.
Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow established safety procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local safety regulations.
  • Assist in preparing the facility for inspections and audits.
Other Duties:
  • Support special projects, such as office moves or event setups.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the facilities.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Install minor fixtures
  • Notify management of any maintenance issues or repairs needed within the facility.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in building maintenance, janitorial services, or related fields preferred but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform light repairs and maintenance.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
  • Flexibility to travel between locations and work evenings or weekends, as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certifications in maintenance or related fields are a plus.
Location:
This position is based out of our main office in High Point, NC, with regular travel to our second office in Greensboro, NC.
