About the Role

This is the first Analytics Engineer role we’re opening up at Go Fig!


Go Fig is an early-stage startup that simplifies analytics for decision-makers. You'll be a key partner to our clients, acting as a technical expert and strategic advisor. This role is ideal for a full-stack data professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, can manage a wide breadth of work, and is excited for the challenge of building a function from the ground up.


This is a client-facing role. You will work directly with clients from project design to delivery and ongoing support:


Data solution architect (50%)

  • Data pipelines & ETL’s
  • Deep dive analytics

Analytics implementation for clients on the Go Fig platform (30%)

  • Go Fig implementation for clients
  • Build custom FigAI agents
  • Business intelligence dashboards & reporting

Ongoing client support (20%)

  • Team onboarding and training
  • Responding to customer support requests

Note: this is a hybrid role that requires in-person work at our office at Flywheel Coworking in Greenville, SC on Tuesdays.


Detailed Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Partner with clients to understand business needs, scope out solutions to challenges, and design project plans
  • Data Engineering: Build and maintain ETL pipelines to prepare data for analysis
  • AI Architect: Translate business context into a semantic layer that is used to train custom FigAI agents for business users
  • Business Intelligence: Develop BI dashboards for standardized reporting
  • Advanced Analytics: Perform deep-dive analyses with the help of lightweight machine learning models to uncover key trends and identify explanatory insights
  • Client Support: Lead client implementation and training, and provide ongoing data and customer support

Technical Tools and Skills

Prior experience is beneficial, but not required. Above all, we value your ability to learn quickly and solve increasingly difficult problems.


  • SQL
  • Python
  • Machine Learning (sklearn, etc)
  • ETL pipeline tools (e.g., DBT, Airflow, Dataform, etc)
  • Go Fig
  • AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc)
  • Spreadsheets and Powerpoints
