Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory movements and update records in real-time.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders with precision using pickers and other order picking tools to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipment contents, inspecting for damages, and documenting all transactions thoroughly.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks involving materials handling equipment while maintaining proper ergonomic practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stacking pallets securely, managing inventory on shelves, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Support warehouse supervision by participating in safety audits, reporting hazards, and helping enforce OSHA guidelines across all operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, or load & unload machinery.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory control processes.
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles demonstrating the ability to oversee daily operations safely and efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehousing and construction sites.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining safety standards; physical stamina is essential.
