Role Logistics

• Full-Stack Engineer (Mobile Platform) -- Early Team member at Go-Ce
• Compensation: $90K – $105K • 1–2% Equity
• Location: Chicago • Hybrid with work-from-home flexibility | Central-time hours
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. -- We are not able to offer visa sponsorship at this time.

What You’ll Do

• Develop new features and core architecture for our React Native mobile app, ensuring a fast, intuitive user experience.
• Design and build backend APIs using our Python-based stack (FastAPI or Flask), connecting the mobile app to cloud data and external systems.
• Design and ship performant, intuitive mobile interfaces for uploading and displaying visual data (images, maps, validation states).
• Handle Android performance—camera integration, image capture, uploads, and offline reliability.
• Collaborate closely with founders and AI engineers to connect mobile and backend systems through secure REST APIs.
• Help define our early technical architecture, deployment strategy, and development standards.
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and code quality while moving fast in a startup environment.

What We’re Looking For

• 4 years of professional software-engineering experience, ideally across mobile and backend.
• Strong knowledge of React Native / TypeScript and experience building production mobile apps.
• Proficiency in Python for API or backend development (Flask, FastAPI, or Django preferred).
• Understanding of REST API design, authentication (OAuth2 / JWT), and cloud hosting (GCP or AWS).
• Experience integrating third-party APIs or handling image-data pipelines.
• Startup mindset: self-directed, resourceful, and excited to build from scratch.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Android SDK / Kotlin or camera frameworks
• Exposure to basic computer-vision or image-processing libraries (OpenCV, Pillow, etc.).
• CI/CD or DevOps familiarity for small-team deployment.
• Experience publishing to the App Store / Play Store
