We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier / Customer Service Associate to join our kids’ indoor playground and retail team. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service to families, handling transactions accurately, and supporting daily store operations in a fun, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and enjoys working with children and parents. Retail or cashier experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming experience for families and children
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process cash, credit, and other payment methods accurately
- Assist customers with check-in, questions, pricing, and general inquiries
- Upsell products, memberships, and promotions when appropriate
- Promote store specials, events, and birthday party packages
- Maintain clean, organized front desk and retail areas
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure product availability
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and inventory counts
- Provide excellent customer service by resolving concerns professionally and courteously
- Support store operations by balancing cash registers at the end of each shift
- Answer phone calls and follow proper phone etiquette when assisting customers
- Work as a team to ensure safety, cleanliness, and smooth daily operations
Experience & Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required (training provided)
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Enjoy working with children and families
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Chinese) is a plus
- Supervisory experience is a plus for growth opportunities
