Stamping
The Quality Sorter is responsible for inspecting automotive parts and materials to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. This role involves identifying defects, separating non-conforming products, and supporting quality control processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Performs the day-to-day sort / GP12 activities of the organization.
Shift schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday-2:10pm-10:30pm-Overtime is based on business needs.

Education And Experience
Knowledge: Working knowledge of ISO/TS16949:2002 quality system; Basic knowledge of production process is preferred but not required.
Skills: Computer proficiency, including MSOffice, Outlook and Internet tools; must have database and spreadsheet experience.
Abilities: Ability to read and operate various quality measuring instruments: micrometer, scale, calipers, height gauges and all other basic inspection tools; Ability to work effectively within a steady paced team environment; Ability to manage time properly in a fast-paced environment; Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively .

Work Environments: Work performed in a shop environment and regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise. GNS has established process, procedures, and protective equipment to reduce or eliminate exposures to these hazards and full compliance is a requirement of the job. Requires working in non-air-conditioned variable temperature factory setting. Employees are exposed to extreme heat and/or cold and other work place hazards. Noise level is the work environment is mostly loud. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physical and background checks.

Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in performing the sorting of Non-Conforming / On-Hold material
- Assist in performing the GP-12 marking, tagging, and inspection activities
- Record results from sort / GP-12 activities
- Ensure proper labeling of certified / GP-12 product
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sort / GP-12 area
- Maintain safety standards in the workplace.
- Ensure Quality in the workplace.

- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Quality experience in a metal stamping environment preferred
