Stamping
All 3 work areas will require applicants to have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a high level of attention to detail. ****It is important to note that due to the type of machinery we run, the temperatures in the plant will be high with high humidity as well.****
Nature And Scope
The primary responsibility of this position is to operate and maintain a laser cell according to customer specifications and production requirements. The successful candidate will ensure efficient machine operation, perform quality inspections, and maintain a safe and organized work environment. As a secondary responsibility, this position will serve as a backup Weld Operator, assisting with welding operations as needed to support production goals.
Under Supervision, perform line tech duties. An Entry Level to Level One operator must be able to run a Laser Cell. Operator must be aware of safety procedures and lockout/tag out. Operator must be able to inspect part correct according to inspection procedures. They must be able to fill out production tags and fill out all production related forms. Which includes hourly parts ran, down time, Issues not allowing an efficient run. Entry Level to Level One techs as well as all level operators are required to maintain an efficiency rate of 85%.
Principle Accountabilities
Physical Demands: The position may involve walking, standing for long periods of time throughout the day. It requires being able to lift up to 40 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds. Stooping/bending/twisting is required on occasion. This job involves attention to detail. Fast-paced environment, usually work standard 40-hour weeks, but overtime may be necessary as work load’s dictate.
Work Environments: Work performed in an office and shop environment. It requires wearing personal protective or safety equipment. Requires working in a non-air-conditioned variable temperature factory setting and exposed to hot and cold temperatures. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.

Principle Accountabilities
- Under supervision you must be able to run a Laser cell per required job target.
- A Laser Entry Level to Level One operator will be able to execute all production and quality procedures. Must be able to inspect part in Gauge, understand the customer packing requirements. You must be able to fill out tags properly.
- A Laser operator should always maintain a clean working environment. 5S the cell. There should not be hand prints on guarding, all garbage must be picked up. True Control 1000 screen will be clean. Robot panels should not have any debris on top of cabinet.
- Safety First: When an operator sees a potential hazard he needs to bring these items to the production supervisor. Lockout/ Tagout.
- Set up and operate Laser to produce parts to specification. Control and monitor material flow.
- Log into and out of jobs on computer system, entering completed parts and scrapped parts and their locations.
- Visually inspect and evaluate finished products for defects and laser quality.
- Measure and verify parts meet specified blueprints, sketches, and/or specifications using various measurement equipment necessary to task.
- Demonstrate ability and skills necessary to set-up, operate, and control all laser cutting machine functions.
- Monitor laser operations to assure equipment is functioning in a safe and efficient manner, notify supervisor of equipment malfunctions and affecting process adjustments to correct.
- Correctly identify and handles non-conforming products.
- Correctly handle finished products and corresponding documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, oiling and lubricating machines. (Dust Collector, Laser Cell-inside and outside cell)
- Check machine operation and report faults to leader/supervisor.
- Perform welding operations following general instructions and according to established shop practices.

- Observe and listen to welding machine and its gauges to ensure welding process meets specifications.
- Turn and press controls, such as cranks, knobs, and buttons to adjust and activate welding process.
- Lay out, fits, or tack work pieces together, using hand tools.
- Stops and opens holding device on welding machine, using hand tools.
- Examine metal product or assemblies to ensure specifications are met.
- Positions and adjusts fixtures, attachments, or work pieces on machine, using hand tools.
- Correctly identifies and handles non-conforming products.
- Correctly handles finished products and corresponding documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, oiling and lubricating machines. (Electrodes, Pins, Weld gun tips)
- Check machine operation and report faults to leader/supervisor.
