Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor various manufacturing machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, stamping presses, and flexo presses to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD files to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment using CAM programming and Fanuc controls to optimize machine performance.
- Conduct precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools; change tooling as needed for different production runs.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment; assist with materials handling and packaging to prepare finished products for shipment.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating CNC programming software such as Fanuc or SolidWorks for machine setup and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brakes, CAM programming tools, and fabrication machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings with GD&T specifications.
- Experience with tooling setup, machining processes, welding techniques, assembly line operations, and materials handling.
- Familiarity with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in manufacturing tasks.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation; understanding of factory safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
