Stamping

Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday, 2:10pm-10:30pm. With overtime based on business needs.

Position Summary
The Hot Stamp Operator is responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining automatic or semi-automatic press equipment used to shape and form metal parts. This role ensures quality production output while meeting established production targets and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment used to harden, anneal, and heat-treat metal components
• Start, monitor, and record machine operations and production data
• Read and interpret work orders and production schedules to determine specifications (materials, dimensions, tolerances, temperatures, and heat cycles)
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (micrometers, gauges, calipers) to ensure quality standards are met
• Adjust machine speeds and settings based on product specifications
• Monitor production flow; unload and properly store parts
• Identify, segregate, and handle non-conforming products and scrap material
• Maintain accurate documentation for finished goods and production activities
• Perform routine machine maintenance (cleaning, oiling, lubrication)
• Report equipment issues or malfunctions to leadership
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
• Assist in training new employees as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
• Follow all safety and quality procedures and standards

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• At least 1 year of experience operating presses or similar manufacturing equipment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic understanding of:
  • Press operations
  • Quality control processes
  • Manufacturing materials and production methods
  • Basic math and English comprehension
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to:
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Complete production documentation accurately
  • Work independently and make sound decisions

This work area will require applicants to have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a high level of attention to detail. ****It is important to note that due to the type of machinery we run, the temperatures in the plant will be high with high humidity as well.****
