GNR has been retained by a growing, 100-year-old, privately owned US conglomerate that is seeking a SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER for a division that provides forged & heat-treated metals to DEFENSE & AEROSPACE customers.
Reporting to the Quality Director, you will be instrumental in this “customer-facing” role growing the company’s QMS processes and ensuring programs are compliant and completing proper documentation – every “I” is dotted and “T” crossed – to achieve on-time deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop quality procedures, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with industry & customer standards; Military-Std, Aerospace (AMS) industry standards (ASTM / ASME), NADCAP, AS9100 & ISO 9001
- Ability to collaborate with various personnel to find solutions and work through non-conforming reports.
- Degree in Engineering / Scientific/ Materials / Mechanical (ideally with a metallurgy background in metals forging / casting / heat treatments / welding)
- Experience with NDT (non-destructive testing) & methodologies for metals & welding: hardness, tensile strength, ultrasonic & magnetic particle inspections.
- Strong written & verbal skills with meticulous attention to detail to ensure clear and accurate communications
- US Citizenship required
LOCATION: Philadelphia / Delaware region --- sign-on for relocation
