GNR has been retained to identify a DIRECTOR of RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT for a growing division of this privately owned, $$B International organization! They are seeking an innovative individual to create & drive R&D initiatives for their SEMICONDUCTOR EQUIPMENT division. The company has a proven track record of delivering precision manufacturing solutions across the most highly complex industries.
Reporting directly to the Div. GM, you’ll play a significant role in leading all RESEARCH initiatives on new technologies & new product / equipment DEVELOPMENT efforts. This newly created position will focus specifically on a niche portfolio of gas, fluid, and chemical distribution & mixing systems.
- Build a team, while utilizing your technical depth to oversee the “new” development of multiple projects, manage schedules & budgets.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering & Scientists to understand customer equipment & solutions needed.
- Stay current on semiconductor market trends, innovative technologies & equipment.
- Define strategies & roadmaps and present your findings to Executive Team & Board of Directors.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Experience & in-depth understanding of various semiconductor fabrication processes and/or equipment used in a foundry.
- Engineering/Scientific Degree (physics, chemistry, engineering, materials) with 5 years Semiconductor Equipment R&D product experience
- Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
- Up to 40% travel Domestic & International
- U.S. Citizenship / Perm Resident required
