GNR has been retained to identify a DIRECTOR of BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT with a strong NAVY rolodex for this well established 50 year-old DEFENSE manufacturing organization whose origins lie in advanced air defense systems / electronic warfare development.
You’ll play a significant role in growing the US market, specifically calling upon the NAVY & MARINE CORPS to capture new business.
- Work in-office in the DC/VA/MD region (relocation provided) with travels as needed.
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS REQUIRED:
- REQUIRES 5 years of Business Development experience specifically targeting NAVY - NAVSEA / NAVAIR, PEO Offices, Gov't Primes & Tier 1 DEFENSE organizations
- Conduct market research to identify potential partnerships to pursue & capture new business
- Ability to think strategically and tactically execute on the new pursuits
- Experience with full-life cycle proposal development & negotiating contracts/agreements.
- 20-30% travel to customers, gov’t & military offices, trade shows & conferences, US & Int’l HQ
- Bachelor’s degree (prior military service is a plus)
- US Citizenship current or ability to gain DoD clearance
