About the Team
Data Engineers at Gnosis Freight build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers global supply chain visibility. Working closely with Solutions Engineers and Backend Developers, they design and implement the custom data pipelines that connect customer systems to the Gnosis Platform. Their work ensures data flows accurately and efficiently, and helping logistics teams make real-time, data-driven decisions.
About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you’ll create and maintain the data pipelines that move and transform information across our platform and customer systems. You’ll write clear, maintainable Python code, manage database interactions, and ensure the integrity of data powering our applications.
You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers and customers to understand their needs, design scalable solutions, and communicate clearly about technical decisions. Most of your work will involve building custom data integrations, improving data reliability, and contributing to the backend systems that support our products. This is a data engineering position, not a data science role. It’s focused on building reliable systems and integrations rather than analytics or modeling.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong Python skills and experience building or maintaining data pipelines.
- Familiarity with SQL, database design, and data modeling.
- Understanding of backend software engineering principles (APIs, version control, deployment).
- Optional, but preferred, exposure to tools and frameworks such as SQLAlchemy, Pulumi, AWS, TypeScript, FastAPI, OpenAPI, and SDKs.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, able to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and customers.
- Curiosity and adaptability to learn new systems quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
