Fabric Technician

Responsibilities & Duties

• Daily set up and roll inspections
• Create fabric panels by rolling out, measuring, taping, cutting, welding together and adding accessories to the completed covers
• Fold according to the cover and end instructions
• Quality testing and inspections, daily and in-process
• Operate heavy machinery to move completed covers
• Follow all safety procedures and watch for the well-being of fellow workers
• Operate all equipment in a safe and proper manner to prevent injury or equipment damage
• Follow all guidelines outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times
• Attend and participate in all regular production meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements for the position include:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Industrial sewing and/or fabric welding a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with little direction
• Ability to produce quality products consistently
• Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities
• Ability to read tape measurements
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift loads (75 lbs. or less), pull material, cut fabric templates
• Ability to work on knees (knee pads provided)
• Good attitude
• Good work habits
• Attention to detail
• Use hand tools and power tools and work near mechanical parts
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
