1.0 Description

A. Coordinates day to day activities in purchasing including record keeping, filing, and all clerical functions incidental to purchasing activities.

B. Place orders to vendors

C. Reviews and verifies orders submitted by requisitioning departments

D. Follows up on orders to ensure materials are shipped and delivered on dates promised

E. Conducts research related to item availability, payment issues and options

F. Maintains records and files related to purchasing activities

G. Uses computer terminal to input and retrieve data (SAP B1)

H. Must be a good communicator and negotiator

I. Responsible for buying inventory and BOM purchases

J. Purchases office supplies, tools & supplies, and coordinates outside processes

K. Responsible for the accuracy of the Open Purchase Order Report

L. Coordinate with Engineering, Production Planning, and Manufacturing to ensure material availability for production schedules and engineering changes.

2.0 Knowledge

A. Understanding of basic purchasing components

B. Proficient in Microsoft Office (word processing and spreadsheet programs)

C. MRP System experience (SAP B1 preferred)

D. Interpret engineering drawings and bill of materials

3.0 Education and Experience

A. High School Diploma or equivalent required

B. 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

FULL-TIME MONDAY - FRIDAY IN ELK GROVE OFFICE

Pay: $70,304.00 - $80,000.00 per year
