Summary
This Employee is responsible for receiving incoming raw materials, counting, populating kit rack/pallets, and moving materials within or near plant or work site by performing various duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Accomplishing the movement and placement of materials in a safe and efficient manner by hand, power hoist, or fork truck. This includes using required kit racks, pallets, strapping, shrink-wrap and other materials to assure correct part counts and no damage in transit.
- Receive and store materials from suppliers. This includes completion of required paperwork, verification of receipt quantities and descriptions, and assigning storage locations.
- Transferring materials to production machines according to work orders, written requests or verbal requests. This includes verification of part numbers, quantities, job/lot identification and routing information.
- When moving materials to storage locations will complete proper paperwork. This includes verification of storage locations, quantities, product descriptions, part numbers and routing information.
- Prepare materials for final shipment. This includes verification of proper packaging, part number, quantities, customer identification and preferred freight company.
- Keeps workplace a clean and safe environment.
- Enters product movement data into computer. This includes verification of storage locations, quantities, product descriptions, part numbers, and routing information.
- Perform daily safety inspections and logs.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Serves as a role model and represents GMT Corporation inside and outside the Company to promote GMT’s values and build up strong community relationships.
Communication Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Computer Skills
- Job requires basic knowledge and understanding of Company’s Syteline MRP.
- Competent in basic Excel, Outlook, Word and other MS Office applications.
