Overview
GMT Chimney Services is one of the top-rated chimney and masonry restoration companies in Connecticut. We specialize in full chimney rebuilds, liner installations, masonry repairs, waterproofing, caps, flashing, and complete safety/code upgrades. Due to rapid growth and high demand, we are hiring an experienced Home Improvement Sales Representative to handle warm, high-intent leads and close residential construction projects.
This is not an entry-level sales position. We are only reviewing applicants with proven experience in construction, roofing, chimney, masonry, HVAC, solar, foundation, or similar in-home sales.
All leads are inbound from Google and past client referrals. No cold calling and no door-to-door selling.
Compensation Options
Option 1 — Commission Only
- 25% of net profit if the salesperson self-performs small jobs (liners, caps, repointing, minor repairs)
- 20% of net profit if the production crew performs the work
- Average ticket size: $1,000 – $15,000
- Realistic annual earnings: $100,000 – $180,000 (no cap)
Option 2 — Hourly Commission
- $20 per hour 10% of net profit on closed jobs
- Average weekly earnings vary based on performance and volume
Primary Responsibilities
- Run in-home inspections and estimates for chimney and masonry work
- Present repair options clearly and professionally to homeowners
- Close contracts and collect deposits through CRM (Workiz)
- Document inspections with photos and job notes
- Follow up on open estimates and maintain strong close rate
- Communicate with office and production team for scheduling and job details

- Chimney rebuilds (full and from flashing line up)
- Stainless steel liner installations (oil, gas, wood)
- Smoke chamber resurfacing and repairs
- Masonry repointing and structural joint repair
- Crown replacement (concrete and poured crown systems)
- Custom caps, dampers, chase covers
- Flashing and counter-flashing replacement
- Waterproofing and protective coatings
- Insurance-covered repair work and code compliance upgrades
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in home improvement or construction sales
- Ability to close $5,000 residential contracts in person
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
- Comfortable with ladders and roof inspections (training provided if needed)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Motivated by performance-based income and long-term growth
Training & Start Date
- Full paid training: 1–2 weeks depending on prior experience
- Immediate start available (peak season, active lead flow)
