About the Role
We’re looking for a BD manager to drive the identification, execution, and commercialization of customer POC for our AI infrastructure platform. You’ll work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to turn early technical evaluations into long-term commercial partnerships. If you enjoy owning complex, high-impact initiatives end to end—and translating technical success into real business outcomes—this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
Own and Drive Customer POCs
- Identify, qualify, and source high-potential customer POCs aligned with strategic priorities
- Own multiple concurrent POCs from initial scoping through final evaluation
- Partner directly with customers to understand technical needs, use cases, and success criteria
Execute and Deliver Technical Evaluations
- Define POC scope, milestones, timelines, and success metrics with customers
- Coordinate closely with Engineering to support setup, testing, and validation
- Act as the primary point of contact throughout the POC lifecycle
- Ensure high-quality delivery, proactive issue resolution, and clear stakeholder communication
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to align customer requirements with internal capabilities
- Drive execution internally and unblock dependencies to keep POCs on track
Convert Technical Wins into Revenue
- Lead the transition from successful POCs to commercial agreements
- Support pricing discussions, contract progression, and onboarding customers into production usage
- Build trusted relationships that lead to long-term partnerships
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 3–5 years of experience in technical business development, customer engineering, technical account management, or similar roles
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to discuss AI infrastructure concepts and workflows with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ownership mindset—comfortable managing multiple workstreams in parallel and driving outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Mountain View, CA for full-time, in-office collaboration
