Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and satisfaction.
• Assist shoppers in locating products, answering questions, and offering detailed product demos to highlight features and benefits.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts.
• Upsell related products or accessories to enhance customer purchases and increase sales revenue.
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to ensure products are well-presented and accessible.
• Conduct regular inventory checks, manage stock levels, and assist with inventory replenishment to keep the sales floor organized.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Support cashiering duties by managing cash registers efficiently while adhering to cash handling procedures.
• Engage in product knowledge sessions and participate in product demos to educate customers about new or featured items.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals, support store operations, and ensure a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Proven supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities or team support roles.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent phone etiquette skills for professional customer interactions over the phone.
• Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, cashiering, and retail calculations.
