Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dispatch Manager to oversee our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the driver team, ensuring efficient fleet management, and optimizing transportation processes.
This role requires strong communication skills and experience with GPS and transportation management systems. The Dispatch Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing our delivery operations while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the driver team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Manage fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, routing, and scheduling to optimize efficiency
- Utilize GPS technology and other resources to monitor vehicle locations and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Analyze data related to logistics performance and implement improvements as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of driver attendance, needs, etc.
- Collaborate with DoorDash teammembers to streamline logistics processes and enhance service levels.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Train and mentor driver staff to foster a productive work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dispatch management or a related field within logistics or transportation.
- Strong understanding of fleet management principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members, drivers, and clients.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Technology experience and willingness to learn.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
