What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Assessor position at GMA Interventions?
General Statement of Duties:
The Clinical Assessor is the first step in clinical care for clients seeking behavioral health service and is responsible for the professional and accurate completion of Biopsychosocial/comprehensive assessments, individualized integrated service plans, crisis plans, service authorizations and evidence-based screening tool.
Essential Functions
- Meet with the client in-person/virtually as scheduled on their calendar
- Establish rapport with all individuals’
- Present and gather confidential information in an efficacious and professional manner.
- Listen effectively and use clinical knowledge and client data to determine a preliminary diagnosis for the patient at intake which will act as the basis of the Integrated BH service plan.
- Intake Assessor must also be capable of completing the Mental Status Exam, the Crisis Plan, the Risk Assessment, the Strength and Culture Discovery and the Overall impressions.
- Follow the Admissions and Assessment procedure
- Must also be capable of explaining prominent assessment/recommendation information in weekly case staffing's
- Accountable for maintaining, obtaining and completing all documentation that will be required for a client to receive services
Specific Duties with qualitative and quantitative measures of performance
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities required for the position: Must have knowledge and assessment experience in supportive recovery services for persons with substance abuse and mental health disorders. (Co-occurring), ASAM
Specific Credentials (Licensure/Certifications): LMHP-eligible, Required CSAC/CSAC-S
Minimum Qualifications: (Education/experience/etc.) Clinician will hold a bachelor's degree or higher in the behavioral health/Social Services field from an institution of higher learning and/or at least 1-year experience in a community-based drug/alcohol treatment and mental health setting. Completing clinical assessments: 1 year (Preferred)
