About the Role

GMA Consulting is seeking a Senior Analyst to help lead client engagements and serve as a senior member of the firm's analyst team. Building on a proven analytical foundation, the Senior Analyst serves as an internal project lead, managing deliverables in conjunction with the lead partner and liaising with clients directly alongside partners, while driving financial modeling, data analysis, research, and reporting and traveling for site visits.

Ideal candidates combine sharp analytical judgment with strong communication and writing skills and a keen interest in using AI tools to streamline analysis and insights. Senior Analysts take a leading role in building dashboards and financial models, directing market research, drafting and finalizing reports, mentoring junior analysts, and shaping strategic recommendations for top-tier clients in the gaming, casino, and hospitality sectors.

This role is based in our Denver, CO or Las Vegas, NV office, with modest travel. Depending on qualifications, remote work may be allowed as well. GMA values long-term team growth and offers clear opportunities for advancement into management and engagement-lead roles.

Responsibilities

·      Serve as the internal lead on client engagements, managing projects in conjunction with the lead partner and liaising with clients directly alongside partners

·      Lead the development of financial models, dashboards, and analytical frameworks based on GMA's refined methodologies, and design customized modeling solutions for complex projects

·      Direct market research efforts and synthesize findings into clear, actionable strategic recommendations

·      Draft, edit, and finalize research reports, proposals, and client presentations

·      Mentor junior analysts and review their work to ensure quality and consistency

·      Partner with firm partners to scope engagements, set timelines, and shape deliverables

·      Design and deploy AI tools and agents to accelerate analysis, drafting, and reporting, and prototype new approaches

·      Travel for site visits and client meetings as needed

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

·      3 years of experience in consulting, financial analysis, research, or a related field

·      Experience in the casino, gaming, or hospitality industry

·      Proven ability to build, manage, and quality-check complex financial models

·      Demonstrated experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members

·      Familiarity with AI tools for research, analysis, or coding (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, OpenClaw)

·      Understanding of data modeling and relational databases

·      Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills

·      Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

·      Significant experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

·      Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills

·      Skilled in locating, collecting, and analyzing complex data, evaluating information, and drawing logical conclusions

·      Able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple engagements

·      Permanent work authorization for the United States is required

·      Graduate from a top tier accredited university or college is required

Nice-to-Haves:

·      Experience with AI/ML workflows, prompt engineering, or LLM-based automation

·      Programming or engineering experience using Python, R, or similar scripting languages

·      Background in financial modeling or research-based report writing

·      Advanced understanding of financial statement compilation and analysis

·      Prior client-facing or team-lead experience
