Staff Accountant - Onsite
Job Summary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing and maintaining accurate account reconciliations, along with supporting all underlying transactional activity. This role will also contribute to audit readiness and execution, including compliance with US GAAP, internal audit requirements, and FIA Financial Regulations, while supporting the company’s internal control framework.
A primary focus of this position will be fixed assets, including buildings, machinery and equipment, tools, and other assigned asset categories. Responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle of fixed assets—recording additions, disposals, and transfers—to ensure the asset register remains accurate and complete. The Staff Accountant will also oversee accumulated depreciation and depreciation expense, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards while optimizing treatment in alignment with FIA Financial Regulations. Additionally, this role will be responsible for maintaining and updating depreciation forecasts to support financial planning and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements, as well as, month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and FIA Financial Regulations requirements.
- Create general ledger entries, account reconciliations and validate proper supporting documentation.
- Support system implementations, upgrades and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.
- Experience in public accounting or industry accounting.
- Experience with multi-entity or multi-location accounting.
- Knowledge of US and international tax compliance.
- Understanding of multiple currencies and currency translation.
