Job Summary: GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern to support inspection and measurement activities for our Formula 1 power unit components. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day to day quality operations along with special projects
- Conduct inspections and measurements of precision components under supervision.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to support root cause investigations and process improvements.
- Help maintain the metrology lab, including equipment calibration and organization.
- Support creation of measurement documentation, control plans, and quality records.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to learn quality processes and ensure compliance with standards.
- Other duties as assigned
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Interest in quality assurance, metrology, or manufacturing processes.
- Basic familiarity with CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
- Coursework involving precision measurement
