The Financial Analyst I supports financial planning and analysis by monitoring financial models, analyzing trends, and preparing forecasts and variance analyses. The position is responsible for building monthly and quarterly reports, creating interest expense scenarios, and clearly communicating results to management. It also provides general financial support across assigned areas, using strong Excel and analytical skills to drive accurate, data-informed decisions.
In This Role You Will
- Analyze financial information, including trends and forecasts.
- Run, evaluate, and monitor existing financial models including securitization, warehouse, liquidity, debt, and income models.
- Create monthly interest expense for disclosure and business scenarios.
- Perform variance analysis and research differences.
- Build monthly/quarterly financial reports and communicate results to management.
- Support assigned areas with general financial administration.

- Knowledge of financial forecasting and analysis.
- Knowledge of data/information sources.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Good quantitative and analytical skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand historical trends to develop dynamic budgeting and forecasting models.
- Strong Excel skills (macros, charting, pivot tables).
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to read and interpret financial documents.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Ability to work well with all levels of management.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong time management skills.
- Knowledge of finance, statistics, accounting, or financial services industry a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle financial analysis software a plus.
- Knowledge of SAS or SQL data mining tools a plus.
- Occasional overtime or split shifts may be required.
- Strong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customers.
- 0–2 years prior experience in financial analysis, forecasting, or data mining preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- Master’s Degree optional.
