What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher AM position at GM Culinary?
We are currently seeking a Dish Maintenance Operator to support our amazing client’s culinary operations. It just so happens to be the largest social media company in the world.
The Dish Maintenance Operator (DMO) will assist our cooks in delivering world class meals in a respectful, safe and positive work environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Cleans dishes, pots, pans, utensils, flatware, etc
- Maintains a clean dish pit and ensure all areas are free of dirty dishes
- Ensures all PPM levels for sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks are at specific requirements for health standards
- Cleans assigned equipment and/or culinary space as assigned by GM Culinary management
- May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed
- May assist with receiving product from suppliers and storing
- Follows safety and sanitation procedures in accordance to all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and the HACCP Coordinator
- Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws and regulations including those relating to food safety
- Accepts and acts on all constructive feedback from management
- Works with a “can-do” attitude and be a team player
- Heavy and repetitive hand and arm motion, standing, walking, bending/twisting and balance
- Works in environment with varying temperatures
- Stands for a minimum of 8 hours a day
- Detect workplace hazards, navigate work areas, follow written directions, and safely operate equipment
- Lift, push and/or move up to 50lbs
- Safely work around hot surfaces, sharp objects and potentially wet and/or slippery floors
- Safely work around all foods and food allergens
- Onsite, in-person attendance is an essential function
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility and an essential function of each employee at GM Culinary
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Stocks towels throughout the kitchen
Minimum Qualifications
- Sense of urgency
- Organizational skills
- Can-do attitude
- Ability to work around all foods and food allergens
- 1 plus years previous dishwashing experience preferred
- Knowledge of a 3-compartment sink and the “double loader” preferred
- Knowledge of FIFO, CCP, and labeling preferred
