Summary: This position performs technical duties in the provision of care to shelter animals in the kennels.
Essential Functions of the Job: The following duties are normal for this position. Feeds, waters, and cares for animals; ensures that animals are kept in clean and humane conditions; monitors animals for signs of illness or distress.

Cleans kennels, cages, and equipment using disinfectants and sanitizing agents; performs laundry duties; disposes of animal waste.

Assists with the intake and release of animals; processes adoption paperwork; provides information and assistance to the public.

Administers medications to animals as directed; assists with vaccinations, micro-chipping, and other treatments under supervision.

Observes and reports animal behavior; maintains health, feed, and activity logs.

Assists with euthanasia processes and disposes of carcasses as needed.

Interacts with potentially dangerous animals in a kennel setting.

Provides training and guidance to volunteers.

Qualifications:Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.
Required Certificates/Licenses: Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license.
