Airport Marketing Director

The Glynn County Airport Commission is seeking an Airport Marketing Director to serve as a key member of the leadership team, reporting to the Executive Director. The Director will lead the strategic marketing, communications, branding and air service development efforts for Brunswick Golden Isles Airport and St. Simons Island Airport. This position plays a vital role in advancing airport growth, strengthening community engagement, enhancing customer experience, and supporting economic development initiatives. The Director develops and executes comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate the airports’ visibility, attract new business opportunities, expand airline service, and reinforce the airports’ position as critical transportation and economic assets for the Golden Isles region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead air service development initiatives to attract and expand commercial airline service.
• Coordinate economic development partnerships that support airport and regional growth.
• Develop and implement strategic marketing and branding programs for both airports.
• Direct public relations, media outreach, and corporate communications efforts.
• Oversee digital marketing, website management, and social media engagement strategies.
• Advance customer experience programs that promote service excellence and hospitality.
• Manage airport advertising programs, sponsorship opportunities, and revenue-generating marketing initiatives.
• Lead community outreach programs, special events, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Develop marketing policies, budgets, and performance measures that support organizational objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in marketing, communications, aviation, economic development, or a related industry.
• Experience developing and executing strategic marketing, branding, and public engagement initiatives.
• Demonstrated success building partnerships with business, government, and community stakeholders.
• Experience and knowledge of air service development, airport marketing, economic development, and transportation-related industries.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel in support of business development and industry initiatives.

Salary & Compensation

Salary is dependent on qualifications and will be based upon the knowledge and experience of the individual selected. The annual salary range for this position is $104,655 - $159,245 and is accompanied by a competitive benefits package.
