We’re seeking a Paid Search Lead to own and oversee all paid search strategy, execution, and optimization across our client portfolio. This role is both hands-on and strategic: you’ll be in the platforms managing campaigns while also shaping overall paid search strategy, advising clients, and partnering with media, analytics, and creative leads.
The Paid Search Lead will also serve as the agency’s internal subject matter expert on SEM — guiding best practices, testing new approaches, and ensuring search is integrated with broader media and business strategies.
- Campaign Leadership: Own planning, execution, and optimization of paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other relevant platforms.
- Strategy Development: Translate client objectives into comprehensive paid search strategies that deliver measurable business results.
- Budget Management: Manage and optimize campaign budgets, pacing, and bidding strategies to maximize ROI and efficiency.
- Testing & Innovation: Lead A/B and multivariate testing of ad copy, landing pages, and targeting; stay ahead of search trends, automation, and AI-driven tools.
- Analytics & Reporting: Partner with the analytics team to track, measure, and report on campaign performance; provide actionable insights to clients.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the primary search marketing advisor for clients, presenting strategies, results, and recommendations in a clear, compelling way.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with creative and media leads to ensure campaigns are integrated and supported by compelling assets.
- Mentorship: Train and mentor junior search specialists, setting the standard for SEM best practices and execution.
- 5–7 years of hands-on paid search experience, ideally in an agency environment.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, results-driven search campaigns.
- Expert knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager; familiarity with SEM tools like SA360, Kenshoo/Skai, or Marin a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into insights and strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with SEO and how it integrates with SEM strategies (bonus).
- Leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
