Position Summary:
The Corrugated Packaging Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and increasing sales within the West Michigan market. This is an outside sales position requiring a self-motivated professional who thrives on building relationships, solving customer challenges, and delivering results.
The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, preferably within corrugated packaging, manufacturing, industrial products, or related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory growth strategy to achieve sales and revenue goals.
- Prospect and secure new business opportunities across manufacturing, distribution, food processing, automotive, and other industrial sectors.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for additional products and services.
- Conduct customer needs assessments and recommend customized packaging solutions.
- Partner with internal teams, including Customer Service, Design, and Production, to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals to key decision-makers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Represent GLT Packaging professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven success in outside B2B sales.
- Packaging, corrugated, manufacturing, industrial, or related sales experience preferred.
- Strong prospecting and business development skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
