Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Lufkin, TX. The Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including site development, transportation, utilities, and public works. Daily responsibilities include preparing engineering calculations, drawings, and technical reports; assisting with design of grading, drainage, roadways, and utility systems; and performing stormwater management design and analysis. The role will collaborate closely with architects, surveyors, and other engineers to coordinate project requirements, review plans, and resolve design challenges. Additional tasks may include supporting permitting activities, preparing construction documents and cost estimates, providing construction phase support, and participating in client and internal project meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Maintain a PE license in the State of Texas.
- Strong foundation in civil engineering principles, including Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design.
- Demonstrated experience as a Civil Engineer working on site development, public works, or related infrastructure projects.
- Skills in Planning and coordination of civil engineering projects from concept through construction.
- Knowledge and practical experience in Stormwater Management, including drainage design and compliance with local and state regulations.
- Proficiency with civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to interpret surveys, plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project-based environment.
