Role Description This full-time, on-site Civil Engineering Professional role is based in Waco, TX. The Civil Engineering Professional will support and lead aspects of civil engineering projects, including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, roadway design, and related infrastructure improvements. Responsibilities include preparing design calculations, engineering plans, and technical specifications; coordinating with architects, surveyors, and other disciplines; and assisting with permitting and regulatory submissions. The role involves supporting project management activities such as scheduling, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, tracking progress, and contributing to quality control reviews. The Civil Engineering Professional will also perform field visits as needed to observe existing conditions, support construction administration, and help resolve design and construction issues in a timely, collaborative manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Maintains a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with experience applying engineering principles to site development and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge or experience in Water Resource Management, including drainage design, stormwater management, and related regulatory considerations.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written documentation, preparation of technical reports, and professional interaction with clients, team members, and agencies.
- Project Management capabilities, such as organizing tasks, managing time and priorities, and supporting project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Proficiency with relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar) and strong skills in Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Waco, TX, collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment, and conduct occasional fieldwork.
