Job Summary:


You will work across the fun and diverse global teams to drive the overall execution of localization launch strategy for the US region. Your focus will be creating a culture of excellence where everyone can thrive and collaborate. You will work closely with our Action League team members, and report directly to the VP of Globalization.  


In your role, you will be working closely with Operational Managers, Quality Managers, Vendor Managers, and Project Managers who are directly in charge of taking good care of each project for our clients. High quality, reliability, consistency, and cost-effectiveness of the department will be your key outcome. You will help identify opportunities for improvement, support the team, and provide best-in-class services to each of our customers. 


Key Responsibilities:


Production:


  • Overseeing localization projects from beginning to end, working closely with internal localization teams; Project managers, TADs, Designers, and QMs.
  • Creating and managing internal versions of localization project plans.
  • Working closely with Localization Operations managers and Quality Managers to develop and execute project workflows for the better efficiency and quality outcome.
  • Working closely with Localization Operations managers and leaders to create methodologies, tools, and checklists to improve the project management process.
  • Identifying and solving localization issues or disagreements, whether system or product, identifying causes and performing corrective/preventative action.
  • Assigning and monitoring project team members’ work when necessary.
  • Directing team’s deliveries to timelines and product quality, including responsiveness and professionalism towards clients.
  • Working closely with the sales team to expand project scales and directing account maintenance within PM teams with communications skills.


Leadership:


  • Inspiring team members to constantly remind of company goals and league goals.
  • Encouraging team members to innovate and automate the work they are managing.
  • Building team members by reviewing and interviewing and making decisions with P&C league.
  • Leading project kick-off meetings, weekly and ad-hoc, OKRs cadence meetings for issue solving and performing post-mortems.
  • Continually expanding knowledge and education in localization trends and news, keeping up to date through active participation in training opportunities.
  • Building and executing training programs to scale up the internal teams.
  • Providing project specific training to PM, TAD and Quality Enhancement teams.
  • Training on workflows, managing time, budget, resources and quality control for PMs.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve asset quality and production pipelines for the localization team.
  • Managing team’s compliance with standards, practices and policies.


Basic Qualifications:


  • 3 years of experience managing content localization
  • BA/BS or 2 years equivalent work experience in localization, internationalization, project management, or program management
  • Thorough understanding of translation technologies: translation memories, translation management systems, machine translation, etc.
  • Communication skills, experience to work effectively across time zones and cultures
  • Experience to stay focused under pressure, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of client expectations in the localization industry.
  • Client-facing experiences with large corporations.
  • Vendor-management experience, with a proven ability to set expectations and hold vendors accountable to KPIs
