Position: Venture Capital Research & Fundraising Intern
Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York
Work Type: Hybrid (1 day in office per week)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Fundraising Intern to work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) on venture capital research and startup fundraising initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity to participate in the capital formation process of a U.S. startup from 0 to 1, gain direct exposure to the U.S. venture capital ecosystem, and learn how early-stage companies approach investors.
What You Will Do:
1. Venture Capital Firm Research
- Conduct in-depth research on U.S. venture capital firms to identify investors aligned with the company’s industry and stage.
- Build structured databases of potential investors, including investment focus, portfolio companies, and partner profiles.
- Track investment trends and emerging VC funds relevant to the company’s fundraising strategy.
2. Fundraising Support
- Support the CSO in various fundraising-related activities, including investor outreach preparation and research.
- Assist in preparing investor materials, research briefs, and structured reports.
- Participate in the operational process of startup financing and capital strategy.
Who We Are Looking For (Must fulfill all requirements before applying for this position)
Education
Current student or recent graduate in New York city. Undergraduate and graduate students are both welcome.
Language Skills
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
Academic Background & Interest
- Major is flexible (Business, Marketing, Computer Science preferred).
- Strong interest in U.S. venture capital, startups, and fundraising process.
AI Skills
- Proficient in using large language models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.
- Able to design effective English prompts and generate structured research outputs or datasets.
Work Style
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and reliable.

Availability
- Able to work 20 hours per week (to meet CPT/OPT requirements).
- Must be available 1 day per week in our Midtown Manhattan office.
