Responsibilities
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and other power tools to achieve a clean and professional finish on lawns and grassy areas
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, pruning, planting, and weed control to enhance overall site appearance
- Use hand tools and machinery such as shovels, rakes, and blowers for various landscaping projects
- Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues such as pests or disease and report necessary repairs or treatments
- Maintain equipment by performing regular cleaning, sharpening blades, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible when needed
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating power tools and landscaping equipment
- Strong lawn care skills including mowing, edging, and trimming
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices such as planting, pruning, and weeding
- Familiarity with gardening techniques and horticulture principles to promote healthy plant growth
- Experience with tree care including trimming or removal is a plus
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety standards during equipment operation and landscape tasks
